Aztecs volleyball sophomore outside hitter Jessica Bright-Schade (Safford HS) was named second team All-ACCAC and selected to the All-Region I, Division II team. She finished the season with 232 kills, 219 digs and seven double-doubles. She has earned All-Conference and All-Region praise in both volleyball and women's track & field.

Freshman libero Morgan Hains (Canyon del Oro HS) was named ACCAC Division II Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 17-23. She had 47 digs, seven assists and three aces in wins over Mesa Community College and at Phoenix College. The Aztecs play Glendale Community College tonight at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

Aztecs volleyball had three representatives on the All-ACCAC teams. Sophomore Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) was named ACCAC Libero of the Year and was second team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division II. Sophomores; Setter Karla Soto (Nogales HS) and Opposite Hitter Kaylee Moseley (Marana HS) were selected Honorable Mention All-ACCAC.

Freshman Lina Kassimatis finished in double figures with 10 kills as the Aztecs volleyball team rallied twice to beat Mesa Community College in the fifth-set tiebreaker (23-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-22, 15-7). The Aztecs improved to 14-9 overall and 9-4 in ACCAC conference play. The Aztecs close out the regular season next week with two home matches.
