Aztecs Men's Basketball freshman forward/center Traivar Jackson, from Anchorage, AK, was named Second Team NJCAA Division II All-American on Wednesday. He is the ninth Pima men's basketball player to earn the honor; sixth under coach Brian Peabody. He averaged 19.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks as he started in all 30 games.

Jackson was selected ACCAC Division II Freshman of the Year, first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II. Moody was selected All-ACCAC Honorable Mention and second team All-Region I, Division II.

Freshman Pierce Sterling was one of four Aztecs men's basketball players who scored in double figures but Pima fell at Cochise College 118-87.
