The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Santa Catalina Mountains and areas downstream, in effect until 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Nearly two inches of rain fell in the mountains, and hikers in Sabino Canyon "should seek higher ground immediately." Read more»

Drivers making their way up the Catalina Highway to Summerhaven on Friday were reminded on the danger of wildfires.

Although a brush fire on Mount Lemmon was extinguished quickly Friday, many of the residents of Summerhaven remain on edge. Most of the mountain is closed because of the high risk of wildfires. Read more»
