The deaths of 24 horses during Turf Paradise’s current racing season has raised concern because the number is much higher than the national average.

Turf Paradise is making headlines for the wrong reasons early in the horse racing season - since Nov. 5, 24 horses have died at the north Phoenix track, including 11 while racing, a death rate is nearly twice the national number in 2020. Read more»
