Mark Henschen, the publisher of the Arizona Daily Star, and the VP of advertising for the newspaper, Alisha Owens, will be packing up their offices, sources said. The pair are leaving the Lee/Gannett-owned paper, with Henschen reportedly fired and Owens resigning. Gannett reportedly laid off staffers at some 37 of its newspapers last week. Read more» 1
The Arizona Daily Star has removed the "interim" from in front of Mark Henschen's title, promoting him to publisher of the morning daily. The previous head of the operation, Chase Rankin, jumped ship to the Arizona Republic last June. Read more»
