Freshman Maria Harrouch took second place at the NJCAA Southwest District Championships on Tuesday as she finished with a 54-hole total of 226 (68-76-82). She finished 4-strokes behind Mesa's Alyzzah Vakasisola (222). Harrouch earned a spot to compete at the NJCAA Division I National Championships from May 9-12 in Florida.

The Aztecs Women's Golf team took runner-up in the final ACCAC Conference/Region I standings to close out the regular season. Freshman Maria Hurrouch was named first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region. Freshman Angelica Martinez (Tucson Magnet HS) was named second team All-ACCAC and second team All-Region. Victoria Pena was selected second team All-ACCAC.

Freshman Angelica Martinez was the top Pima finisher in the individual standings as she tied for sixth place with a two-day score of 157 (77-80). The Aztecs finished in second place with an overall score of 673 (341-332). The Aztecs host the Pima Invitational on Feb. 28-Mar. 1 at the Dell Urich Golf Course.

In coming up with answers to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pima Community College athletics department officials created a system that brought the sports family closer and was so successful it has attracted the attention of other universities looking to implement the same protocols. Read more»

Pusch Ridge Christian High School golfer Daniel Orr signed his letter of intent to play for the Aztecs men's golf program. He averages a 3-over par per round. He was named a Southern Arizona Spring Golf All-Star in 2018 and 2019.
