Kenzie Fowler has become a force for the University of Arizona Wildcats softball team. She was named as one of only three freshman for the Player of the Year award.

Fowler was named as one of the ten finalists for the 2010 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year on Wednesday. She is one of only three freshmen on the list. The winner will be announced on June 1 at the opening of the Women’s College World Series. Read more»

Kenzie Fowler, a freshman, has picked up 27 wins this season for the third-ranked Wildcats. Her perfect game, eighth in the history of UA softball, also was her fourth no-hitter of the season.

Junior catcher Stacie Chambers was named Pac-10 Player of the Week after hitting .500 over the weekend with three homers and seven runs batted in. She currently leads the conference with a .500 batting average. It's her third honor in her career as a Wildcat.
