The Baltimore City Council voted unanimously Monday to remove two monuments of the Civil War era, a double-equestrian sculpture of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson and a statue of Roger Taney, the Supreme Court justice who authored the Dred Scott decision. Above, the empty pedestal after Taney was taken away.
