The Aztecs baseball team won their 10th straight game as they swept GateWay Community College 10-3 and 15-2. The Aztecs have scored double figure runs in six straight games. Sophomore Luis Garcia (Salpointe Catholic HS) finished the day 5 for 6 with seven RBIs, two runs scored and two doubles. The Aztecs are now 28-8 overall and 15-5 in ACCAC conference play.

The Pima Community College baseball team (28-8, 15-5 in ACCAC) continued its offensive onslaught as it scored double figure runs for the sixth straight game on Friday as it swept GateWay Community College (14-17, 7-13) in Mesa. Read more»

Freshman Benji Cazares (Tucson Magnet HS) finished 2 for 4 with an RBI and a double while Anthony Imhoff got the win (2-0) after pitching six innings giving up one run (one earned) on three hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks in Pima's 7-5 win over New Mexico Junior College. The Aztecs will play South Mountain Community College in the Zinger Classic championship round on Sunday at Sloan Park. First pitch is at 12:30 p.m.

Sophomores Anthony Imhoff (Quenn Creek HS) and Hunter Faildo helped the Aztecs baseball team pick up another sweep beating Paradise Valley Community College 7-6 and 9-7. Imhoff threw a scoreless four innings and got the ewin in the second game. Faildo went 4 for 7 with three RBIs and three runs scored on the day.

The Pima Community College baseball team (4-0) played another non-conference doubleheader against Paradise Valley Community College as Saturday’s games were held at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field. Read more»
