Pima women bounce back vs. Quest Prep

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (1-1) bounced back after their Friday loss in a big way, defeating Quest Prep (Nev.) 99-60 in the final day of the Pima/Tohono O’Odham Kickoff Classic.

The Aztecs produced five players in double figures and hit 12 three-pointers in Saturday's game. Felicia Foster (Peoria HS) led the charge, finishing with 16 points. She went 4 for 7 from three-point range for the game. Alicia Jones (Palo Verde HS) also had the three-ball working in her favor as she finished with three 3-pointers and 15 points. Foster and Jones each scored six points to help Pima build an early 10-point lead at 15-5. Foster had 10 points at halftime and a 48-25 advantage.

Holly Bolen (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the game with 14 points and Raja Moreno-Ross contributed with 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Aztecs got a boost from their bench as Jayla Brown (Desert Vista HS) finished the game with 13 points going 6 for 8 from the field. Adrianna Barrientez (Palo Verde HS) also had three sharp assists in the second half and four points.

The Aztecs will play at Salt Lake City College on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Salt Lake City, UT.
