Stoian, Crouch add to their littany; Burdett earns fifth shut out

The University of Arizona women's soccer team scored two goals in the first half to beat the Washington State Cougars by the score of 2-0 in Pullman, Wash., on Thursday. Paige Crouch and Gabi Stoian each scored a goal for the Wildcats while Stoian picked up an assist as well. Lainey Burdett was also one save shy of her career high as she stopped eight for the Wildcats.

"We responded well after going on a four-game losing streak," head coach Tony Amato said. "We focused in on the task at hand tonight and didn't worry about anything else. It was a total team effort and I'm very happy with the win."
