Aztec pitcher Plouck named conference Pitcher of the Week

Pima Community College pitcher Cole Plouck (Empire HS) was named ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

In Plouck’s first outing of the week, he pitched in relief and got the save in Pima’s 4-2 over Glendale Community College last Tuesday. He threw one inning, giving up one hit with one strikeout. He started the first game against Scottsdale Community College last Saturday throwing a complete-game shutout. He pitched seven innings, giving up five hits with five strikeouts and three walks in Pima’s 1-0 win. He is 3-3 on the year with a 1.78 ERA.

Earlier this year, Plouck was named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-23.

The Aztecs play at Cochise College in a conference doubleheader Tuesday in Douglas. The games were set for noon and 2:30 p.m.
