Weather forecast pushes Sunday baseball to Thursday
With cold weather looming, Sunday's spring training game between the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres in Tucson has been bumped to Thursday afternoon.
The Tucson Padres organization announced Saturday night that the game would be pushed back. First pitch will be at 1:05 p.m., and gates will open at 11:30 a.m.
The National Weather Service has forecast cold and rainy weather for Sunday, with snow possible in the mountains into Monday.
All tickets purchased for Sunday’s game can be used for the rescheduled date on Thursday, the Padres said in a press release.
Refunds are available for fans that cannot make the rescheduled game. Fans who want a refund must contact the team before Thursday by calling 434-1367, emailing info@tucsonpadres.com or by visiting the box office in person.
Fans may also exchange tickets for Sunday’s game for Tucson Padres regular season vouchers prior to Thursday, the team said.
"For every $20 spent on Rockies vs. Padres tickets, fans can receive $30 worth of Tucson Padres box seat vouchers, good for any game except July 3," the team said.
