Ex-PCC basketballer Edwards recognized by Frontier Conference

Former Pima Community College women’s basketball player A’jha Edwards (Tombstone HS) was recognized for her first year of play at Montana State University-Northern (Havre, MT).

Edwards, a junior, was named Newcomer of the Year and First-Team All-Frontier Conference. She helped lead the Polar Bears to a 21-9 overall record and a 10-6 record in conference play.

Edwards started 29 of the team’s 30 games, playing 26.5 minutes per game while averaging 13.1 points per game and 10.4 rebounds. She also had 31 blocks and 34 steals.

Edwards was an NJCAA First-Team All-American for the Aztecs in 2013.
