Junior catcher Stacie Chambers was named Pac-10 Player of the Week after hitting .500 over the weekend with three homers and seven runs batted in. She currently leads the conference with a .500 batting average. It's her third honor in her career as a Wildcat.

Glendale hosted its first playoff game 'Whiteout.' The Westgate shopping area was turned into a hosting area for Coyotes fans and visiting Red Wings fans. The Coyotes, playing in their first playoff game since 2002 defeated the Red Wings in front of a sold-out crowd, 3-2 to take a 1-0 series lead.
