Sophomore Bradon Zastrow hit a walk-off RBI single in the first game and freshman Braedon Mondeau (Cienega HS) hit a 2-run RBI single to give Pima the lead for good in the second game as the Aztecs swept No. 13 ranked Arizona Western College 2-1 and 4-2. The Aztecs improved to 35-17 overall and 20-14 in ACCAC conference play.

The Aztecs men's golf team finished third at the Paradise Valley Invitational on Tuesday with a two-day score of 584 (297-287). Freshmen Jay Shero (74-71-145) and Andrew Rivas (77-70-147) shot season-best rounds while Daniel Henely tied his season-best score with a 146 (71-75). The Aztecs compete at the NJCAA Region I, Division I Tournament in Sun City West, AZ on April 28-May 1. Freshman Maria Harrouch took second place at the NJCAA Southwest District Championships on Tuesday as she finished with a 54-hole total of 226 (68-76-82). She finished 4-strokes behind Mesa's Alyzzah Vakasisola (222). Harrouch earned a spot to compete at the NJCAA Division I National Championships from May 9-12 in Florida.

Aztecs baseball split at Cochise College on Tuesday winning 8-0 and falling 12-11. Sophomore Bradon Zastrow threw a shutout in the first game victory giving up five hits with three strikeouts and four walks while freshman Gage Mestas finished the day 5 for 8 with three RBIs, four runs scored and five steals.

Aztecs softball picked up two crucial wins beating Arizona Western College 9-1 and 9-4 in ACCAC Division I action. Sophomore Faith Orton (Amphitheater HS) picked up two wins on the mound (13-7) 13 innings giving up three earned runs. Freshman Alejandra Castro went 4 for 6 with three RBIs and two runs.

Freshman Kaden Stremick finished the day 4 for 8 with two RBIs, four runs scored and a home run as the Aztecs baseball team swept Arizona Christian University Prospect Club 10-6 and 21-3 (7 innings) in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field. The Aztecs Women's Golf team took runner-up in the final ACCAC Conference/Region I standings to close out the regular season. Freshman Maria Hurrouch was named first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region. Freshman Angelica Martinez (Tucson Magnet HS) was named second team All-ACCAC and second team All-Region. Victoria Pena was selected second team All-ACCAC.

Freshman outfielder Elise Muñoz (Salpointe Catholic HS) was named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week on Monday after she went 13 for 16 at the plate with seven runs scored, four RBIs, three stolen bases and two walks as the Aztecs went 4-0. She is batting .473 on the season.

Aztecs baseball players Trent Kiraly and Darius Garcia swept the ACCAC Division I Player and Pitcher of the Week awards respectively. Kiraly batted .357 with four runs scored, four RBIs, a double and a home run while Garcia threw seven innings giving up four earned runs with seven strikeouts.

Freshman Jay Shero shot a season-best total of 147 (75-72) as he finished tied for 15th at the Estrella Mountain CC Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Tres Rios Golf Course. The Aztecs took third place in the team standings with a 589 (296-293).

Sophomore Lucy Chavez (Bisbee HS) earned an NJCAA Outdoor national qualifying mark in the Discus with a throw of 41.36 meters (135-8) while fellow sophomore Jessica Bright-Schade (Safford HS) set her national qualifier in the Javelin with a throw of 37.36 meters (122-7).

Sophomore Emmanuel Corral (Pusch Ridge Christian HS) earned an NJCAA Outdoor national qualifying time in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase at the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, CA. He finished the race with a time of 9 minutes, 45.04 seconds.

Freshman Trent Kiraly went 3 for 7 with three RBIs and three runs scored while freshman Darius Garcia pitched a complete-game giving up three earned runs with seven strikeouts as the Aztecs baseball team upset No. 1 Central Arizona College 6-3 and 12-6 ending the Vaqueros' 20-game winning streak. The Aztecs are 30-14 overall and 17-11 in ACCAC conference play.
