Back in the early 1980s – when Tucson was still a sleepy little college town – Jimmy Zuma enjoyed one of the greatest adventures of his life, living here for five years. Back then, life was a little slower, swamp coolers were a little more plentiful, Tucson’s legendary music scene was in full bloom, and the prevailing work ethic was “don’t - unless you have to.”

Jimmy sometimes signs his name as James Alwin Schmidt. Alwin is a medieval name that means “friend of the elves.”

Now splitting his time between Washington, D.C. and Tucson, Jimmy is also the Washington DC Correspondent for The John C. Scott Show. In his personal life, Jimmy is happily married to Suzanne. He has two children, Emma, who is a Political Science major at Virginia Tech and Jake who, even at 10, shares his father’s acerbic sense of humor. Jimmy plans to retire to Tucson as soon as he is old enough to begin holding up traffic.
