Senatorial (candidate) spin
Ah, the joys of receiving press releases from political candidates.
What vital nuggets will they offer about policy positions and objectives? How will they improve our lives once/if elected to office?
Or ... how much money have they raised this quarter?
That last is a bit trickier to discern from candidate Rodney Glassman's most recent press release, as he's trumpeted the receipt of $1 million from donors, while murmuring into his hand that half those funds were received from the candidate's most ardent supporter, himself.
And yet, you can't really blame him. Politics is spin, after all. And money is power, blah blah blah.
Still, the media's job is to figure out the spin, to present a clearer picture than perhaps the candidates would like seen.
Thus ... we note candidate Glassman's achievements in areas beyond fundraising.
