Wendy Rogers went full Alex Jones with conspiracist trope about Buffalo massacre

On May 14, 2022, 13 people were shot at a Tops Friendly Markets store in Buffalo, N.Y. Ten of the victims died. Eleven of them were Black. Shortly thereafter, with some of the worst timing and judgment (or lack thereof) our very own white-supremacist-boosting state legislator Wendy Rogers (R-Flagstaff) took the time out of her day to go on social media and minimize this horrific crime by implying that it was caused by none other than "the Feds" and not some deranged conspiratorial racist angry white guy. That's right, she went full Alex Jones on this one.

This is after she had already been censured for "conduct unbecoming of a senator, including publicly issuing and promoting social media and video messages encouraging violence". That occurred because she virtually attended the America First Political Action Conference, and gave a speech praising white nationalist self-hating Latino Nick Fuentes as a patriot and called for a "newly built set of gallows" to hang political enemies.

All this happened in the still looming shadow of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, in which, a bunch of deranged conspiratorial racist angry white guys (and gals) erected gallows and called for the hanging of one Mike Pence, vice president of the United States.

So, now, good ol' White Nationalist Wendy is under an ethics investigation due to her terrible social media comments. Again. The probe was voted on and passed by the Arizona State Senate with a margin of 24-3. Rogers was one of 3 senators, all of which were Republicans, who voted against the investigation.

That's right, she got to vote on whether or not she wanted to investigate herself, and she expectedly voted against it. Not surprising since she was unapologetic when her censure was announced — and defiantly accused her fellow Republicans of colluding with the Dems. This atrocious human being is responsible for making laws in our state. Enough of my fellow Arizonans went out and voted for her to win. Way to go Arizona, you never fail to disappoint.
