Comments on Smart v. Stupid

John McCain is the biggest sissy in the U.S. Senate

Dirty dealing on 'Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell'

Smart v. Stupid: Men and women who are now serving in the military have no cowardice about serving with gay men and lesbians. Gay men and lesbian women certainly harbor no cowardice – or even reluctance – about serving. The only cowards in the room seem to be John McCain and his party.

McCain’s performance in thumbing his nose at the military and deriding Mullen’s service was sickening.  (McCain said Mullen wasn’t currently leading active troops and that he was a political appointment).  I’m glad Mullen stood up for himself.  McCain’s nasty comments didn’t get nearly enough publicity.  How can a US Senator from any party disrepect the military so brazenly?  How can he get away with it?  Maybe he can’t anymore.  This column is right on and nobody should cut McCain any slack any more.  I don’t care if these reckless attacks on the US military are from the left or the right—-they are equally unpatriotic and John McCain is selling out his country and the military.  What a disgrace.

It’s pretty clear that John McCain must be another one of those closet-case, anti-gay gay Republicans like Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Bob Allen, and Glenn Murphy.  I can think of no other explanation for his irrational views on DADT when confronted with the professional opinion of our military leaders that repeal will not be a problem.  McCain is hiding a little nut somewhere deep inside him that is forcing him to adhere these backward positions in the face of clear evidence and public opinion to the contrary.  What is gnawing at him?  Some deep memeory of the boy who got away during his early days in the barracks?  Come on out of the closet John.  It’s a lot healthier out in the daylight.

John McCain is and was an American hero, he gave much in the service of his country.  However as he stands today he is a self-righteous homo-phoebe standing behind the guise of protecting the military from us dangerous gays.  I’m ashamed of his behavior, he is not acting like a ‘hero’, he is acting like a spoiled brat.  As for his gutless wife, she is no better and lacks the courage to stand up for her convictions… but then again I’m sure she went back to her “I’m a rich bitch and don’t have to worry about ‘you gays & lesbians’ party circuit”.
