Not a surprising assessment considering the roots of the author. The press, as does this author, has decided that one slip up and and a man’s lifetime of service is no longer valid.

Look in the mirror. Can you say you’ve walked the perfect path in life? Do your deviations make you good accomplishments any less? No, they don’t. It’s the same for Petraeus. Ah, but journalists judge others by a standard they, and others, cannot hold to.

Petraeus never put the security of the country at risk. Ah, but the author, and other press will drag Petraeus and his family through the muck so they can 1) make money, 2) advance their socio-political ideals that may not appeal to at least half of the country.

Don’t fall for this guy’s BS.
