Hi there, Mr. Padrés. Your eagerness to shoulder the public’s immense burden of need like Sisyphus rolling the boulder from Tucson up to the summit of Mount Lemmon is to be commended; I’m not sure that I could do it, much less do it in a progressive 21st-century best practices fashion. It takes an extraordinary individual and sometimes a phenomenal team behind them, I’d expect.
There is no doubt under the sun that life is change and change is life. And yet some things grow and decline quickly, and others take longer than Saguaro to come to fruition. From their perspective, we’re a recent change, but from our viewpoint, they grow slowly if at all.
You describe Sharon Bronson’s long tenure as a public servant, suggesting that the delivery of short term accomplishments is the measure the next term. Is the Pima County Board of Supervisors the source of economic inequity in district 3 or in Tucson? What should the County Board of Supervisors do about the fundamental causes of poverty if the solutions take generations and people come and go? Do we build shared wealth and value in the community for society?
In which ways are Sharon Bronson’s perspectives, ideas, and energy past their best-by date, in your estimation? What are her contribution and why are they deficient, in your estimation? I’m generally curious, I’m not familiar with either of your two.
