Az effort to block contraception simply bad health policy

A recent push to block women from getting access to contraception shows the Arizona Legislature is not operating from an evidence-based or reality-based point of view.

Right on point!  No matter how how hard the religious right may try to spin this one, it is never okay to try to legislate morality.  To base a law off of a religious faction is detrimental, to impose a health care law based on one is an outright crime.  Furthermore, there are many Catholic women who practice their religion whilst taking a contraceptive of some sort - it is swept under the rug (as it should be) - do you really want someone’s religion in your politics…let alone in your bedroom?  This article speaks volumes coming from a former surgeon general and a practicing physician.
