This war brought stupidity out in a lot of people, world wide.

I’m not going to say the cause wasn’t noble…removing Hussein from power was good for a lot of innocent people. However, Iraq and Hussein should have never been in line in front of Bin Laden and al-queda.

Where the stupidity came in was the rock-star-type appeal seemed to have with Hussein. He had so much support, both in Iraq and here. So many idiots were yelling loudly to keep him in power, and I never understood why.

If Hussein would have not defied United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441, he’d probably still be in power as I type this.

Once he was removed from power, so many Iraqi ingrates were avenging his death by continuing to attack us, the very people who freed the Iraqis from his rule. Instead of IED’s, they should have been putting leis around the necks of our soldiers or something similar.

He had the French and much of Europe drinking his kool aid. How does a person who is so evil and killed so many innocents garner so much support? I don’t think I’ll ever understand that.

How anyone outside of Hussein’s immediate family or inner circle enjoyed living under his regieme-and want to go back to it-is far beyond my comprehension.
