Mexican ambassador: Now is the time for immigration reform

The Mexican ambassador to the United States said Wednesday that immigration reform is vital for relations between the two countries and that the time for reform is now.

The only reform we need is the prioritization of enforcement, and the prioritization of securing the border. NO criminal should be rewarded for breaking the law, especially with something as special as the right to live here, or even citizenship. How many people the world over would love to be a citizen? How many of them would do it the right way given the opportunity?

I’m not opposed to “reform”, but I am absolutely opposed to any plan that does not punish border jumpers for violating or laws and our sovereignty. And, not that it does any good, I vote that way, too.
