SunDanzer, based in Tucson, does solar R&D for the military for fuel avoidance.  They were just awarded a contract to qualify a hybrid solar-diesel refrigeration system for shipping containers.  Their solar powered tent cooling systems and refrigerators have already been deployed in Afghanistan and at other military operating bases
