Factcheck: Dependency and Romney’s 47 percenters

Mitt Romney was wrong when he said the 47 percent of Americans who pay no federal income taxes are “dependent on the government.” Most of them are working people who simply do not earn very much money. Romney also wrongly assumed that those in that 47 percent vote Democratic.

Thanks for the story. It was a good read, and I didn’t see anything that set off any red flags in my head. That said…

This whole thing about Romney’s quote is much ado about nothing. Think about it…those who drink Obama’s kool-aid are going to turn a blind eye to all of his incompetency and sins no matter what, and no matter what Romney says or does the Obama cult will never vote for him. So, Romney is right is saying they’re a lost cause and he needs to focus his efforts elsewhere.

The Obama-haters aren’t going to vote for Obama, again, no matter what Romney says or does. So, all that’s up in the air is the independents, they swing voters, the moderates…It’s my opinion that for every person this pushed toward Obama, it pushed another toward Romney.

This whole thing is a wash. All it did was provide fodder for the mass-media on a slow news day.
