A new survey finds that many American physicians fail to report troubled colleagues to authorities, believing that someone else will take care of it, that nothing will happen if they act or that they could be targeted for retribution.

This article is very useful in furthering the dialogue on how organizations like Kaiser Permanente keep BAD doctors in business. 

The recent guilty verdict of long-time Kaiser Permanente doctor Jayant Patel, MD in Australia for negligently killing patients (which Kaiser tolerated for years) is just the tip of the iceberg.
