It's mostly illegal to import foreign-made assault weapons, but Century Arms has found a way to legally market these guns in the U.S. Many make their way south, to be used by Mexican drug cartels.

To state that most weapons coming into Mexico come from the U.S. is simply untrue.  Do you really think that the Mexican cartels need or want to take the risk of arrest by buying weapons here.  It is easier to get them Russia or China.  Mexico has thousands of miles of unpatrolled coastline.
