I keep seeing these complaints about the 16,000 construction jobs (and those they indirectly support) being temporary which doesn’t make any sense. Aren’t the vast majority of construction jobs supported by temporary projects? I bet those 16,000 people will be thankful for the work and will likely move on to the next temporary project and if there isn’t a next project, better to get paid for two years than no years.
