Three cats and a rabbit who survived a fire last week are available for adoption at the Human Society, after their family had to give them up when they moved to a new home.

Cats Blossom, Pinball, Jewel and bunny Pancake are looking for new homes for the holidays.

The animals, along with two dogs belonging to Dustin  Tynes and his wife, escaped the fire unharmed. But the couple had to move to an apartment that doesn't allow cats, because their trailer was destroyed, the Humane Society said in a press release.

"It broke our hearts to give them up," says Dustin Tynes. "I feel happy they have a chance at the Humane Society to find a good home."

While there was initial concern that one of the cats had suffered smoke inhalation, he's now doing fine, the Humane Society's Sarah Gromley said.
