Pima County holding public meetings on Colossal Cave's future
Pima County is holding a series of public meetings to get community feedback on the future of Colossal Cave Mountain Park.
The first meeting is Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cienega High School.
County staff will explain a recent park audit and answer questions, according to a press release from the Pima County Office of Economic Development and Tourism.
The Pima County Board of Supervisor's voted last month to find a new operator for the 2,000 acre park, which includes Colossal Cave. Staff will use public feedback to create guidelines for new-operator bids.
People can also submit written comments by mail to Mike Holmes at 33 N. Stone Ave., Suite 830 Tucson, AZ 85701, or by email to mike.holmes@pima.gov.
