Clean Elections picks Republican for chair
Arizona's Citizens Clean Elections Commission has elected Commissioner Lori Daniels to serve as the agency's chair for 2012.
Daniels, a Republican, was appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer in 2008. Daniels' term runs through 2013.
The commission oversees the state's Clean Elections program, which provides public funding for political campaigns.
The commission's five members are appointed by elected officials from both parties. The other members are Louis Hoffman (D), Timothy Reckart (R), Thomas Koester (I) and Jeff Fairman (D).
