Veterans Day will delay trash pick up, close Tucson gov't offices

Tucson residents with trash and recycling pick up scheduled for Thursdays will have to wait a day to have it removed and city offices will close for Veterans Day.

Regular Thursday trash and recycling removal will instead happen on Friday for those customers.

The Los Reales Landfill and the household hazardous waste disposal facility, located at the landfill site, will be open on Thursday.

City offices will be closed Nov. 11. Customers may leave a message for Environmental Services customer service at (520) 791-3171 or email EShelp@tucsonaz.gov and they will be contacted no later than the next business day.

Holiday collection schedules are available online or through the free Recycle Coach app to receive notifications about their trash, recycling, and brush & bulky collections.
