American Airlines' regional affiliate is adding an afternoon flight from Tucson to Los Angeles International Airport, the Tucson Airport Authority said.

American Eagle will begin the 45-minute flights on 44-seat Embraer jets from TIA to LAX  beginning in February, the authority said in a press release Tuesday.

The airline's schedule:

Tucson to Los Angeles

• Departs TUS    Arrives LAX
• 6:00 a.m.    7:30 a.m.
• 9:30 a.m.    11:10 a.m.
• 1:15 p.m.    2:00 p.m. new
• 4:55 p.m.    5:40 p.m.

Los Angeles to Tucson

• Departs LAX    Arrives TUS
• 10:30 a.m.    12:40 p.m. new
• 7:35 a.m.    9:55 a.m.
• 2:30 p.m.    4:55 p.m.
• 8:00 p.m.    10:05 p.m.

Tucson International Airport has eight airlines providing 60 daily non-stop departures to 15 destinations, the authority said.
