Arrests
Douglas Station agents apprehended a 47-year-old Mexican man Monday night for illegally entering the United States. Record checks revealed the man had been arrested for spousal rape in 2006 out of Oakland, Calif. The charge was either dropped or is pending. The subject also had a prior removal from the United States. The man faces possible federal charges.
Also in Douglas, agents apprehended a Mexican national Monday night for illegally entering the United States. Record checks revealed the 49-year-old male had been arrested in Phoenix in 1997 for child molestation. That charge was either dropped or is pending. The man faces possible federal charges.
Rescues
Ajo Station agents responded to the activation of a rescue beacon Monday and found two men who admitted to entering the United States illegally. The two Mexican nationals were transported to the station for processing and removal.
Recovery
Sonoita Station agents discovered the remains of an adult man near Sierra Vista. Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and took custody of the scene.
