Still 20K ballots left to count in Pima County
There are still about 20,000 early and provisional ballots remaining to be counted by Pima County — votes that could affect close races. The ballots will begin to be added to the count Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
At 1 p.m., county elections workers will begin counting 16,359 early ballots that were dropped at polling places on Tuesday, along with 3,805 provisional ballots and 95 conditional ballots, a Pima County spokeswoman said.
Marcia Zamorano cautioned that the "numbers are an estimate and will change by the minute as the Elections Department begins tabulating the remaining ballots."
