Motorcyclist dies after hitting Oro Valley guardrail

A 26-year-old man riding a motorcyle in Oro Valley died at the hospital overnight after hitting a guardrail, a police department spokeswoman said.

Adam Mabley, an Oro Valley resident, was heading east on Pusch View Lane, just east of the Canyon Del Oro Wash, around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, said OVPD's Lt. Kara Riley.

After Mabley struck a guardrail, "Golder Ranch Fire District responded and transported the driver to Banner University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries," Riley said.

"The investigation is ongoing; however, speed and alcohol appear to be factors," Riley said.

OVPD withheld Mabley's name until Monday evening, after his family was notified of his death.
