PCC holding public forum with Governing Board candidates Tuesday

The two candidates for the District 1 seat on the Pima Community College Governing Board will meet with the public Tuesday in an evening forum.

The public session will be held in the Community Board Room (C-105) of PCC's District Office, 4905 E. Broadway. It will begin at 6 p.m. and last for about an hour and a half, college spokesman C.J. Karamargin said.

Michael Duran and Mark Hanna are seeking the seat held since 2001 by Brenda Even. Voters will have the opportunity to pick a successor in the Nov. 4 election.

The forum will be moderated by by Mari Herreras, a staff writer at the Tucson Weekly, and Andrew Paxton, the editor of PCC’s student newspaper, the Aztec Press, Karamargin said.

The meeting will be live-streamed on the PCC website.
