J.C. Scott: Will Affordable Care lead to gov't gridlock?

On Thursday's edition:

We started the show with the editor of the Tucson Weekly, Dan Gibson, who gave a rundown of this week's issue.

23 min: We were joined Ward 2 Tucson City Councilman Paul Cunningham, who discussed his concerns with proposals for the future of the Ronstadt Transit Center, Attorney General Tom Horne's opinion that two Tucson gun laws are unenforceable, the overlay district on 5th and the failure of the El Con Walmart to obtain a liquor license. He also talked about the city's bad deal with the developers of the Thrifty Block.

51 min: We started our second hour with RNC Committeeman Bruce Ash, who gave his take on a possible government shutdown, the debt ceiling debate, Arizona's Medicaid expansion, new election laws and Republican lawmakers challenging congressional district lines.

81 min: We finished the show with Ward 6 Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik, who talked about his disappointment with the Thrifty Block project. He also commented on the future of the Ronstadt Transit Center, an RTA planning meeting tonight, downtown financial incentive district, Grant Road early property acquisition, and Friday's showing of the University of Arizona's 1997 basketball Championship at the Fox Theatre.
