The Humane Society of Southern Arizona will hold its last Late Night Happy Hour of the summer on Friday to showcase the many pets available for adoption.

The event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. and will feature reduced adoption specials. There also will be 30 to 40 selected pets for free. Cats 5 months and older, as well as  mixed-breed dogs 5 months and older, and 25 pounds and over will be $10.

Every animal is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. The adoption fee includes a free first visit to a veterinarian of the owner's choice and bag of food.

Refreshments and pet treats will be available during the event at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.

"We try to make it festive and get a lot of people to come, and we try to pair people with their perfect pet," said Sara Gromley, the Humane Society's public relations coordinator.
