J.C. Scott: Daniel Hernandez addresses anti-gay flier

On Friday's edition:

We began the show with the editor of the Tucson Weekly, Dan Gibson, who gave a rundown of this weeks edition.

30 min: We were joined by Ward 2 Tucson City Councilman Paul Cunningham, who gave his take on the arrival the first of eight streetcars to Tucson, Sun Tran's financial report, possible Sun Van fare increases, the possibility of bringing a team from the NBA D League to the Tucson Convention Center, professional and youth soccer, road repair and construction and indirect left turns coming to Tucson. The Democrat also commented on how Tucson matches up with other cities of the same size.

51 min: We talked with Sunnyside Governing Board member Daniel Hernandez about his reaction to anti-gay fliers targeting him. He thanked Rep. Raul Grijalva for his support in calling for an investigation into the incident. Hernandez said he believes is the most important issue facing Sunnyside is an upcoming budget override vote.

66 min: We then spoke with Washingtonc ommentator Jimmy Zuma, who talked about the case for a strike on Syria in retaliation for a chemical attack that killed as many as 1,400 people, including 400 children. He also talked about the rumor of a Hillary Clinton - Julian Castro presidential ticket in 2016.

80 min: We finished the show with attorney Don Loose, who covered a suit that seeks to overturn limits on home-grown marijuana, prosecutors still opposing medical marijuana, Arizona courts limiting when law enforcement officer can sue for injuries and a recent ruling that the Veterans Administration cannot deny benefits to a lesbian Army veteran.
