The Pima County IT department is warning about spam sent from county servers after a computer attack Wednesday. Recipients of county emails that offer a prize or request personal info should delete them immediately, the county said.
Recipients should not offer any information that might be requested by the spam emails, the county said in a news release.
A large volume of email was sent from county servers Wednesday, prompting companies such as AOL and Yahoo to block emails from Pima County.
While the problem has been fixed on the county's servers, it may take some time for email providers to begin processing emails from pima.gov normally.
