J.C. Scott: Heinz fighting uphill battle vs. Barber

Matt Heinz joined John to talk about his run in the CD2 Democratic primary against U.S. Rep. Ron Barber. Heinz said his experience as a doctor and state legislator has prepared him for the office. Heinz detailed his differences with his opponent on border protection, the environment and health care.

Stefanie Mach, a Democratic candidate for state House in LD10, began her interview by expressing gratitude for the support she has received in the campaign. Stefanie's life story is one filled with challenges; she has dedicated much of her life to public service and said the experience she has gained from civic and nonprofit sectors will bring much-needed perspective to the Legislature. Her top issues are education, health care, job creation and training.

The Tucson Weekly's Jim Nintzel joined John for our "Tucson Weekly on Radio" segment. They discussed the races for the Legislature, Pima County Board of Supervisors, and Congress.
