The Human Society of Southern Arizona will have its Late Night Happy Hour on Friday to encourage potential pet owners to find an animal companion.

The event will start at 11 a.m. and end at 9 p.m. Some animals will be available for adoption for free, while others will be available for a reduced fee of $10. Fees include vaccinations, spay or neutering, and a first vet visit.

The Humane Society encourages those looking to add an animal to their families to visit and get to know the pets for adoption.

The HSSA will offer ice cream and refreshments for those visiting the site Friday at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.

“Last year’s event was wonderful,” said HSSA spokeswoman Sara Gromley. She said many animals were adopted through the event.

Gromley said she believes this happy hour will help to find families for Tucson pets who are in need of good, stable homes.
