J.C. Scott: Author of 'Glenn Ford: A Life' discusses fathers' life

On Friday's edition:

We started the show with former GOP state Sen. Frank Antenori, organizer of the United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives (URAPC). Antenori gave an update on his efforts to take to a referendum on Medicaid expansion to Arizona voters.

20 min: We were joined by TucsonSentinel.com's Dylan Smith, who summarized a report on the practice of allowing federal border agents to enforce local laws in Southern Arizona, and talked about the work of late columnist Jeff Smith.

30 min: We interviewed the son of iconic actor Glenn Ford. Author Peter Ford and John invited listeners to a screening of the western classic "3:10 to Yuma," scheduled for Aug. 15 at The Loft Cinema, 3233 East Speedway. The screening, which benefit the Empire Ranch Foundation, will be followed by a discussion of the film and a book singing of "Glenn Ford: A Life."

51 min: We were joined by Republican Bruce Ash and former Pima County Democratic Party chairman Paul Eckerstrom, who discussed government surveillance, Medicaid expansion, immigration reform, election law and foreign policy.
