Pima College to shuttle students between campuses
Pima Community College will provide free transportation for its students starting Aug. 28, with a shuttle running between the UA and three PCC campuses twice daily.
The Aztec Shuttle will be able to carry 14 students, college spokesman C.J. Karamargin said in a news release Wednesday.
A morning shuttle will depart from Old Main on the University of Arizona campus at 7:10 a.m. The shuttle will then make stops at Pima's Downtown, West Campus and Desert Vista campuses.
The shuttle will leave the Desert Vista Campus at 4:10 p.m. and make stops at the West and Downtown campuses, ending its trip at Old Main around 5 p.m.
The shuttle, operated by Arizona Shuttle under a one-year contract, will run Monday-Thursday during the fall and spring semesters, when PCC classes are in session.
“As a multi-campus institution many of our students travel between campuses,” Pima Provost Jerry Migler said in the release. “The Aztec Shuttle offers them convenient access to do so.”
All Pima students will be eligible to ride the shuttle if they show valid school identification. Each vehicle is equipped to accommodate wheelchair riders.
