J.C. Scott: Cunningham says Sun Tran, union reach agreement

Tucson City Councilman Paul Cunningham broke the news that Sun Tran and the bus drivers' union reached a tentative agreement.

After a tough last couple of months, the councilman returned to our airwaves to say he is dealing with his alcohol problem and has now been sober for for over 60 days. Cunningham talked about getting back to the business of being a Tucson city councilman; he said he's focusing on sports commerce, hotels, tourism, and keeping an eye downtown development tax dollars.

Joining John of his way back from a short vacation he talked about comparisons to other cities he has visited. The interview was interrupted by a dropped call but picked up again later in the show when he broke the Sun Tran news.

Richard Studwell, a UA-area developer and City Hall commentator, talked about an ongoing issue with Rio Nuevo missing tax collections due to improper coding of business tax forms. He also shared his opinions on foolhardy downtown developments and misspent taxpayer dollars.
