J.C. Scott: Does Tucson support Davis-Monthan?

On Tuesday's edition:

9 min: We started the show with Ward 3 Tucson City Council candidate Ben Buehler-Garcia. The Republican gave an update on his campaign, discussin Grand Canyon University's announcement that it will not bring a campus to Tucson, seeking support for Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, growing the tax base and creating jobs by making Tucson more attractive to business.

37 min: We were joined by Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry, who talked about bond money being requested for repair of the old county courthouse, the current state of county bridges and roads, a city-county dispute over restoration at Ft. Lowell and possible new uses an old Roger Road wastewater treatment plant.

58 min: Next up was Tucson Transportation Director Daryl Cole, who also discussed the state of local bridges and roads. Cole talked about the slow process of approving bridge work even after funding is allocated, and hanked the voters of Tucson for approving a $100 million bond package to be spent on the roads of Tucson over the next 5 years.

91 min: We finished the show with the TucsonSentinel.com Editor Dylan Smith, who reviewed a report on statements made by a state Forestry official about possible mistakes that led to the deaths of 19 firefighters last month in Yarnell.
