Casa Grande agents apprehended a Mexican National on Tuesday near Sells who admitted to being a member of the Sureños street gang. A records check showed the person had been sentenced to 24 months in prison for felony convictions for theft and re-entry after deportation. The person was being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for re-entry of a felon.

On Wednesday, Douglas Border Patrol agents assisted the Douglas Police Department during a vehicle stop, which led to the apprehension of seven illegal immigrants and seven more in a nearby stash house.

A Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue team discovered human skeletal remains Wednesday southwest of Ajo. The remains appeared to have been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was notified and took over the investigation.
